  The first Mining & Environment International Conference, Sudbury '95, was 20 years ago, with over 2000 Professionals having now attended the five conferences in the series. The Sudbury 2015 Organizing Committee invited you to come to Sudbury from June 20 - 25 to celebrate the 20th anniversary year of the inaugural event. Building on the successes of the previous Sudbury conferences, the Mining and the Environment 2015 International Conference has brought together technical experts in the environmental and environmental health sciences, policy makers and regulators from around the world to address mine, land and waterways rehabilitation and related environmental protection issues. The conference was co-hosted by the Laurentian University School of the Environment and the Goodman School of Mines, and was held at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. Pre-Conference Short Course 'The Sudbury Story: Re-greening Science of the Sudbury Region' was focused on the 40 year history and science of the Sudbury Restoration Story, from the early experimental trials through operations of the UN Award-Winning Municipal Re-greening Program to the successes and challenges of today.
