  The aim of the Workshop is to bring together international researchers and practitioners dealing with volcanic rocks and soils. These materials exhibit a peculiar mechanical behaviour at both laboratory and in-situ scale, due to their specific structural properties, which makes difficult characterization. The Workshop occurs in two full days, divided in four sessions devoted to the main Conference topics, and including keynote lectures, selected contributions, and open discussion. The Workshop will be followed by two interesting technical visits.
