  This workshop, consisting of a mini-conference and a match-making event, aims at creating a community of researchers that study and develop algae as vehicles for sustainable nutrient recycling and water reuse in agriculture. The topic is highly critical as we are globally on the edge of our planetary boundaries, both with respect to nitrogen and phosphorous, and the environmental pollution caused by current practices costs society several hundred billion US dollars each year.
