  LED 2021 will continue the tradition of Luminescence and Electron Spin Resonance Dating conferences that have occurred for more than 40 years. The last conference in this series was held in Cape Town in 2017, and the next conference in the series was to be held in person in Burgos in 2020 or 2021, but due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding COVID-19 it is not possible to meet in person at this time. However, to ensure that we can retain the opportunity to come together (albeit virtually) and present our latest research, there will be an online conference this year. Conference organisation for LED2021 will be an international collaboration involving members of the standing Scientific Organising Committee with additional international representation. The LED2021 conference will be held online during the week 13-17th September 2021. It will provide an opportunity for the academic community around the world to come together to present the latest scientific research related to the development and application of luminescence and electron spin resonance methods and their application to archaeological, geological and geomorphological topics.
