The challenges facing the world's development today are increasingly complex and diversified, and the deficits in governance, trust, development and peace are on the increase. In this context, the International Forum on Democracy: the Shared Human Values will be co-organized by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), China Media Group and China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration in Beijing, China, on December 4th-5th , 9th-10th, 14th-15th, 2021via Zoom online meeting system. China’s High-rank officials will be present at the Forum. The Forum will explore the shared human values and their implications on solving the common challenges the world is facing today,aiming at promoting the shared human values of peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom, boosting exchanges and mutual learning among political civilizations, improving global governance, interpreting new forms of human civilizations, and providing intellectual support for advancing the common development of all countries in the world. On behalf of Professor WANG Linggui, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Top Think Tank, CASS, I am delighted to invite you to join the International Forum on Democracy: the Shared Human Values. The Forum will consist of an opening ceremony, three sessions and a closing ceremony. Democracy and Global Governance 3. Democracy and Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Political Civilizations 4. Democracy and Common Development 5. Democracy and New Forms of Human Civilizations 6. Democracy and Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind The Forum will be attended by hundreds of guests at home and abroad, including former international dignitaries, heads of international organizations, leaders and scholars from international Think-Tanks, leaders from the publishing houses, media and libraries. Your 10-minute speech (Considering the technical conditions, pre-recorded video speech is required) and 3000-word English paper will be welcomed by the forum as a contribution to the exchange of ideas and thoughts. We would be deeply honored if you could take time to join us and share your insights on the topic. It would be highly appreciated if you could respond with a confirmation of your attendance before November 12th and send us your video before November 17th.
