Luminescent biovisualization is one of the most informative tools of the modern biomedicine. One of the approaches to obtain materials for biovisualization is the surface modification of the spherical nanoparticles with the luminescent materials. We proposed to use magnetic material La1-xAgyMnO3+d with controlled Curie temperature (Tc) of 42-45 ºC as nanoparticles. It allows to combine luminescent biovisualization and magnetic hyperthermia treatment in one theranostic agent. As luminescent materials lanthanide complexes with long lifetimes were selected. We have developed the methods of nanoparticle surface modification with the luminescent materials. As a result, we succeeded to obtain brightly emitting spherical nanoparticles with the controlled value of Tc (Figure 1). New NIR emitting lanthanide complexes with PLQY=1.4% were obtained, and the major luminescence quenching mechanisms in such lanthanide complexes were revealed. New ligands with linking groups in para-position were also synthesized, able to bind the target antibodies. Their lanthanide complexes were obtained and shown to be brightly luminescent. Combination of these results open a new approach to create the novel theranostic agent.
