Borexino is a liquid scintillator real-time detector that was designed for the detection of low energy neutrinos from the Sun. It becomes possible because of reaching unprecedented level of radiopurity. By the way, the construction of the detector including special double DAQ extends the range of registered energy up to tens of MeV. It makes the detector a unique tool to study antineutrino fluxes also in parallel with neutrino fluxes. The physical backgrounds of antineutrino registration by Borexino detector together with description of main antineutrino sources will be presented. Past results, present and future plans focused on the study of such antineutrino sources as the Earth (geo-neutrinos), supernovae and on the short baseline oscillations (sterile neutrinos) are presented and discussed.
