Compounds with nominal composition Ca10-xNdx(PO4)6(OH)2-xOx (x = 0.1, 0.5) were synthesized by a solid state synthesis at the temperature 1300°C. According to the powder X-ray diffraction phase analysis the samples represent the apatite phase. Magnetic measurements in the external magnetic field of 4 kOe show the obvious SIM properties for both the samples: they demonstrate a typical for SIMs real and imaginary part of magnetization vs magnetic field frequency dependencies with successively changing of peak position with the temperature increasing and are characterized by a magnetic reversal energy barrier about 100 cm-1 that is the biggest one for Nd-based SIMs as far as our knowledge.
