The issues of poverty and gender inequality are long standing social problems that permeate every society. Researchers, policy makers and various institutions, including the international community, have designed measures to reduce and eradicate these problems. However, in today’s modern society, poverty and gender inequality still linger, especially in the developing world, which include some regions in Latin America, some parts of Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.
