It is well known that counterrotating stellar disks in S0 galaxies are much more rare than counterrotating gaseous disks (Kuijken, Fisher, Merrifield 1996). However, by hunting for the extended gaseous subsystems in S0s, for the last years we have found a whole population of S0s with starforming rings/disks where the ionized gas counterrotates the global stellar disks. Surely, the current star formation in these rings/disks must produce counterrotating stellar components in the nearest future. I will present some of our fresh findings of counterrotating starforming rings as well as examples of massive counterrotating gaseous disks WITHOUT clear signs of current star formation. Possible reasons of presence/absence of current star formation in counterrotating gas will be discussed.
