We have used nanocrystalline graphite (NCG) as a material for electrochemical supercapacitor electrode. It was shown that capacitance of the NCG film achieves more than 180 F/g. NCG films were grown on glassy carbon substrates by using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition method in DC glow discharge. SEM and TEM study showed that NCG films consist of multilayer graphene nanoflakes normally oriented towards to the substrate. Raman spectroscopy method was used for investigation of structure imperfection level. Electrochemical potential was measured with respect to the reversible hydrogen electrode in the supporting electrolyte. Effect of structure imperfection level on capacitance was investigated.
