The paper presents the results of mathematical modeling of the collision of two molecular clouds (MC) during a frontal impact. Collisions of the MC are one of the key mechanisms for the formation of new stars. The resulting motion is described by a system of conservation laws in a three-dimensional rectangular coordinate system. The system of Euler equations is solved using a high-resolution TVD-type scheme. As shown in [1], when performing calculations on low resolution grids, non-physical fragmentation of MO occurs. Therefore, in our calculations, the number of grid nodes varied in the range from 1024x1024x1024 to 2048x1024x1024 cells.
