Solution of the problem of catching, storing and disposing of carbon dioxide is one of the priority tasks of our time on the issue of safe human activity and environmental protection, as well as in connection with the problem of global warming and climate change. To remove a small amount of CO2 industrial scale generally used methods based on the Pressure-Swing Adsorption processes and membrane separation using solid adsorbents. For instance, the capacity with respect to СО2 of a mesoporous silica gel of МСМ-41 type modified by grafting of amino compounds reached 13 wt % [1]. In [2] the studied adsorbents were mesoporous carriers silica gel KSK or activated carbon of BAU grade modified with amines. The best capacity with respect to СО2 of an activated carbon of BAU grade modified with diethylenetriamine (H2NCH2CH2NHCH2CH2NH) reached 14,5 wt %. In this work, mesoporous silica gel of MCM-41 type was modified with triethylenetetramine (H2NCH2CH2NHCH2CH2NHCH2CH2NH2). During CO2 adsorption at room temperature, depending on the feed rate of the gas mixture, the temperature of adsorbent increased by 3-8 °C. The capacity with respect to СО2 reached 24 wt %.
