Application of new possibilities in generalization, visualization and conjugated analysis of biologic and geographic information enables us to use its results for organization of the system of natural protected territories. The studies’ results of the biogeographical department of Lomonosov Moscow State University are based on long-term field expedition research in the different parts of Palearctic in accordance with its regional division. Using three different regions as examples we showed the possibilities of biogeographical monitoring for the selection priority territories for protection of biodiversity on various levels of spatial organization of biota.
