Аннотация доклада:
Newly formed landscapes and soils on abandoned sites of sugar production waste which occupy vast areas in the Chernozem zone of Russia were studied. In 30-50 years, strongly alkaline (pH ≥9) soils rich in SOC, with calcite pedofeatures in various microforms, phosphate coatings and gleyic properties have formed in the dried wastewater ponds, enriching the surrounding waterbodies with nutrients and contributing to their eutrophication.
