Anticipatory reaction has found in experiments with presentation of auditory stimulus with constant interstimulus interval in indifferent and motor series. Activity of frequency-selective generators measured by the amount of gamma generators dipoles appears before stimulus onset with the maximal activity into interval 100-0 мс. The amount of current dipoles of activated gamma generators smoothly grows, reaching a maximum at moment of stimulus onset, and smoothly decreases after it. Thus the maximal activity of generators concentrates in interval around stimulus. Anticipatory reaction appeared and in more difficult conditions - in experiments with working memory (two-digit numbers) and performing a GO/NOGO visual patterns discrimination task which required to recognize the target stimulus using the information retained in working memory during a delay period, to response to target stimulus by motor reaction and to ignore the no-target stimulus. It was found that increase of frequency-selective generators activity working in gamma, beta, alpha or theta rhythm range preceded the perceived target and no-target stimuli. Not all activated generators take part in a formation of anticipatory reactions. Only part of them is included in this processing. Similarity between the anticipatory reaction and early response allow confirming, that anticipatory reaction carries out not only modulator function of attention. It represents more complex phenomenon which includes a prediction of early stimulus processing: activating stimuli representations and the formation of a motor readiness.
