Аннотация доклада:
The biological analysis of mountain glaciers provides a valuable tool for the reconstruction of climate dynamics, regional vegetation, biological productivity, and forest fire history. The report covers the history of this method and modern achievements in the study of mountain glaciers, and also focuses on the prospects associated with new research of biological markers in the glaciers on the Elbrus Western plateau (RSF project 17-17-01270).
