The government of Russian Federation was undertaking the extraordinary efforts in order to support national economy during the pandemic. The average amount of sums has already spent to cover these expenses or is planning to be spent is about 3% of the GDP. Factually unprecedented increase of the budgetary expenses and simultaneous reduction of the revenues of all budgets of the budgetary system resulted in the searching of the additional sources for budget deficit coverage. The outlook of the federal budget deficit by the end of the current year is about 4.2% of the GDP. To aim the budget deficit coverage and to provide the sustainable growth of the national economy it was necessary to undertake the tax diversion. Main features of the current Russian tax policy were discribed in the presentation.
