The development of geohazards may be caused by both construction effects or operation of a structure on the ground base (industrial intensification), and variations in the temperature, hydrogeological, tectonic and other characteristics of the base under the influence of natural factors. The geohazards activation often has a negative impact on the condition of structures, ecosystems and leads to emergency situations, often carrying a risk to human life. Geohazards monitoring in the areas of their potential development allows one to make timely forecasts, to prevent accidents or minimize their damage. Monitoring is carried out in different ways - from simple visual fixation of the development of geohazards manifestations, to high-precision instrumental measurements of the state parameters of the soil base and/or engineering structures, using modern geophysical and geotechnical equipment
