Colloid properties of binary aqueous solutions of hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) and Tween 80 (Tw) were compared with properties of solutions of individual components by tensiometry and dynamic light scattering. The polymer-surfactant associates are formed as a result of H-bonding at the ratio of 1 Tw molecule per 1 monomer unit of HPC. Hydrophobizated molecules of HPC are more compact and have greater surface activity at water-air interface. This work is supported by RFBR grant № 11-08-00492a.
