Thin nanocrystalline CuSe films and nanocomposite CuSe/Se films were synthesized by the method of sequential vacuum thermal evaporation of selenium and copper. The resulting films were characterized by optical spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron, and atomic force microscopy. In the synthesized films, the angular and polarization dependences of unipolar photocurrent pulses were studied at the oblique incidence of femtosecond laser pulses at a wavelength of 795 nm. It is found that the longitudinal photocurrent measured in the direction parallel to the plane of incidence is maximum at p-polarization and vanishes at s-polarization. The transverse photocurrent perpendicular to the plane of incidence depends on the angle between the plane of polarization and the plane of incidence according to an odd law, is absent for p- and s-polarizations, but differs from zero for circular polarization. It is shown that in the case of elliptical polarization of the incident radiation, the transverse photocurrent depends on the degree of circular polarization and changes its polarity when the direction of rotation of the electric field vector is changed. In the transverse photocurrent, bipolar pulses, caused by the interference of the linear and circular components of the photocurrent with different relaxation times, are detected. The longitudinal and transverse photocurrents change polarity when the sign of the angle of incidence changes and depend on the angle of incidence according to an odd law. The results obtained are in agreement with the theory of photocurrent generation due to the surface photovoltaic effect and can be used in optoelectronics for the development and creation of non-optical high speed analyzers of laser radiation polarization and sensors of the sign of circular polarization of light.
