Reliable V-profile recording near the limb (prominences, chromosphere, and corona) is shown to strongly depend on the level of scattered light in telescopes. The expected scattered light caused by diffraction at the entrance aperture is presented for 0.5, 1.5, 2 and 4 m super-smooth primary optics. Requirements for micro-roughness of refractive and reflective primary optics are compared. Prospects for the limb chromosphere magnetic measurements are briefly noted. Research was supported by the grant No 11-02-00631 of RFBR.
