Over the course of the year, an experimental hospital based therapeutic group treatment for patients with severe depressive disorders is conducted at the Gannushkin Psychiatric Clinic. The program consists of eight one-hour sessions, during which the participants jointly discuss such topics as: cognitive distortions, cognitive model of depression, coping strategies, deep-seated beliefs, compliance with drug therapy. During this shared experience, particular attention is paid to monitoring the symptoms and coping with a severe depressive state
