Based on the astronomical ephemeris DE-406, calculations of the Earth's insolation on the surface of various altitude levels from the upper troposphere to the lower mesosphere were performed. The step was 10 km. The incoming and outgoing transit radiation in the space surrounding the Earth was analyzed and their balance was calculated. With a stationary Earth, the balance of incoming and outgoing transit radiation is 0. However, due to the rotation of the Earth, there is a discrepancy between the incoming solar radiation (1 degree in latitude and longitude) and the outgoing solar radiation. It is determined that annual balances for latitudinal zones have a sharp negative minimum in the zones 65º−75º S. and N.S. at all altitude levels. Semi-annual balances for the latitudinal zones of each semi-surface in the summer half-years are positive in the region of 65º−90º and negative in the region of 0º−65º at all altitudinal levels. In the winter half-years, the opposite is true: they are negative in the region of 65º−90º and positive in the region of 0º−65º. Semi-annual balances for the zones are most significant in the polar regions
