This paper examines differences in structure and participants of entrepreneurial networks in China, Russia, and the USA. The authors analyze the results of interviews with entrepreneurs published on the internet gained by means of automatic content collection service PressIndex, as well as semi-structured interviews with entrepreneurs conducted online, and manual collection of entrepreneurial stories in the form of transcription of video interviews with entrepreneurs from YouTube channels. Based on the thematic content analysis, we revealed various frequency of business categories and conjoint use of tags describing network participants. Special attention is paid to the distinction of formal and informal networks, as well as mentions of supporting measures by government and municipalities. The most important results are detected preferences towards informal type of networks, differences in ranking of business categories, and the number of mentions of certain type of partners by entrepreneurs from China, Russia, and the USA. The research contributes to the deeper understanding of existing entrepreneurial networks, drivers of its development, and best practices in supporting SME.
