The dynamical evolution and photometry of the asteroid 2408 Astapovich is presented. The main-belt asteroid 1978 QK1 was discovered by N. S. Chernikh on August 31, 1978 at Nauchnyj. Asteroid was named as Astapovich on the honour of the founder of meteor astronomy in the former of the USSR, well-known astronomer Igor Stanislavovich Astapovich. Photometry observations were obtained on 0.61-m telescope on Skalnate Pleso observatory, using a CCD-camera SBIG ST-10XME, during multiple observation runs from 2008 July 28 to 30. The synodic rotational period 3.6737 +- 0.0008$ h was determined by the method of the differential aperture photometry. With regard to the favourable geometric conditions of the asteroids towards to the Sun and the Earth, the amplitude within the observable period reached value up to 0.28 mag. Therefore the determined period is adequate reliable
