A new strategy for searching for gravitational lens pairs formed by a cosmic string is discussed. The theory and simulation of gravitational lensing on a cosmic string inclined at an angle to the observer and on a cosmic string curved in a plane perpendicular to the line of vision are presented. The observational data of a candidate formed by gravitational lensing on a cosmic string are presented. It is shown that the inclined string model statistically corresponds to the available observational data.
