Abstract—Temperature studies of crystal structure of compounds based on Gd5Si2Ge2 doped with Tb and Ti were conducted. All compositions exhibited a temperature-induced structural phase transition from an orthorhombic structure to a monoclinic one. The crystal lattice parameters and volume changes during this phase transition were measured. The change in magnetic entropy, cooling capacity, and operational range of the magnetocaloric material were calculated for the studied compound. It was found that the efficiency of the material increased with the addition of Ti.
