The structures of free molecules are the foundation of theoretical chemistry. Therefore the determination of experimental molecular parameters is crucial for the calibration of theoretical models. This talk will be devoted to the experimental (gas electron diffraction) and theoretical investigations of two molecules: tetranitromethane and nitroxoline. The main attention will be paid to the internal rotation of nitrogroups in these molecules.
