Аннотация доклада:
The paper discusses the interrelations between five redactions of Charles-Hubert Millevoye’s most popular elegy, “The Fall of the Leaves” (all published from 1811 to 1822), and its Russian translations/imitations made by Mikhail Milonov (1811), Konstantin Batiushkov (1816), Vasilii Grigor’ev (1820), Vasilii Tumanskii (1823), Evgenii Baratynskii (three versions, 1823–1827), and Stepan Stepanov (two versions, 1825, 1839). Pilshchikov identifies the redaction(s) of the French text used by each Russian author and the role of “intermediary versions”, i.e. the influence of earlier translators on their later competitors.
