Two types of complex predicates have been discussed in the paper: compound and co-eventual verbs. The compound verbs derived from non-telic stems imply the inceptive meaning, while those produced from telic stems may have completive or (rarely) conative sense. Compound verbs may not denote the completion of the action under the condition that the theme of the utterance is incremental. Three types of incremental themes have been discussed in the paper.Co-eventual verbs are formed by two verbs which fully preserve their semantics. Most frequent relations between co-events described by V1 and V2 in co-eventual sequences are cause-result, concurrent result, manner and precedence - succession.
