The October Revolution changed the landscape of literary forms as well as the social one. New soviet literature wanted to give speech to the groups that were silent before, such as workers, peasants, women and national minorities. Female authors, such as Alexandra Kollontai, Lydia Seifullina and Vera Inber used first person forms of narration for different purposes. Alexandra Kollontai used the form of first person singular narration in the essay Make way for Winged Eros as a sign of “older” and “more experienced” comrade addressing to the new generation – utilization of “I” helped to construct a democratic dialogue between Bolshevik establishment and common people. It is noteworthy, that first person plural narration is used in the Bible - to symbolically build a new unity, a nation. Vera Inber in the short story Death of the Moon used "we" to construct the new collective actor. In this particular story "we" means Jewish girls, who began to anticipate events of the Revolution of 1905: together they study the cruelty of the world and then join first manifestations of 1905. Lydia Seifullina avoided usage of author’s “I” and “we”, but commonly used the direct speech to let her heroes – mostly peasants – speak in their own demotic language and “skaz” discourse. The comparison of these forms and the reaction in literary journals shows that the story told by the eyewitness was considered to be more trustworthy than third person narration and the figure of author started to melt in the female prose.
