Описание:The culture of Russia in the first decades of the XXI-th century has been undergoing a radical transformation, which is determined by global processes: globalization as cultural integration and unification, the emergence of an information society without borders, the embodiment of which is the worldwide Internet, and the aggravation of ideological and political struggle leading to turbulence. The multinational culture of Russia today is more than ever open to external influences: Russian viewers watch American films in cinemas, and programs of foreign origin on TV, and American, Chinese or Korean serials on a computer; foreign words are widespread in everyday speech, as well as in political, media and scholar discourse. The openness, dynamics and pluralism of contemporary culture give rise to serious challenges to national identity.
