Methods for chromatography for metal compounds are disclosed herein. These methods relate to introducing an analyte solution into a chromatographic system comprising a liquid phase flowing through a solid stationary phase, wherein the solid stationary phase comprises graphitic carbon; and eluting compounds from the stationary phase with a retention factor greater than zero, wherein a chromatogram of the eluted compounds shows that the compounds are substantially resolved. Methods for determining the purity of mixtures of metal compounds are also disclosed.
