Целью Проекта является разработка, производство и распространение инновационного курса интерактивных видео-лекций о применении новейших технологий в системе водопользования сельскохозяйственных регионов для студентов и специалистов стран АСЕАН. Проект направлен на распространение новой образовательной программы, основанной на проектно-ориентированном подходе к обучению. Результатом Проекта будет распространение созданной Программы через создаваемую сейчас сеть университетов с использованием международных учебных телеконференций.
In ASEAN (with the exception of Singapore), more than 70% of untreated wastewater flows into surface and underground sources. The construction of modern biological wastewater treatment plants is the only solution to a steadily increasing environmental problem. The main technology that is most adapted to agricultural regions is water purification technology using phyto-purification systems (Constructed Wetlands, Treatment Wetlands), which differ in minimal energy, financial and labor costs for operation and are most effective in regions with a warm climate. To visualize learning tasks two universities (Lomonosov Moscow State University and Udayana University, Indonesia) are offered to create interactive training films with methodological manuals, combined into a single Program (for university students and specialists undergoing retraining). The theoretical basis of this program is the research of Russian scientists. The program will be the basis of training in the design and maintenance of new treatment facilities for agricultural regions. For filming it is supposed to use those few phyto-cleaning facilities currently operating in ASEAN member states and in Russia with the addition of virtual technological schemes and examples of calculations based on advanced world experience. Stages of adaptation of the Program to local conditions: 1) Discussion and approval of the proposed training concept (at the first seminar); 2) Development and coordination of film scenarios with authorized representatives of universities of ASEAN member states (on-line); 3) Approval of the method of distribution of the final version of the Program with authorized representatives of relevant ministries and universities of the ASEAN member states (at the second seminar). At the first two stages of the adaptation of the Program, there will be a collection of all the proposals and observations from representatives of the ASEAN member states concerning the social and climatic features in which the water treatment technology will be applied. These comments and suggestions will be used when creating videos and tutorials. Two seminars will be organized by Udayana University (Indonesia, Bali), a long-term research and educational partner of Moscow State University. The program will be distributed primarily through a network of universities that is being created as part of the project «Research and Development Cooperation Russia-ASEAN on development and implementation of innovative agricultural technologies to increase sustainability of agro-ecological systems». The main mechanism for the distribution of training programs in the network being created will be the use of teleconferences as a way of holding educational seminars. The spread of innovative technological solutions in ASEAN member states that use the created Program will significantly increase the number of treatment facilities in these countries, since at present building this facilities usually involve the help of foreign specialists and foreign companies.

Устранение проблемы недостатка чистой воды в мире решается разработкой и внедрением новейших технологий очистки воды. Дефицит специалистов по очистке воды в странах АСЕАН приводит к серьезным экономическим и экологическим проблемам. Во всех странах подготовка специалистов по проектировке и обслуживанию биологических очистных сооружений затруднена в связи с объективными причинами. Во-первых, немногие вузы готовят данных специалистов. Кроме того, очистные сооружения – это режимные предприятия, что, затрудняет их изучение. В вопросах биологической очистки разбирается очень узкий круг специалистов, вследствие чего накапливаются экономические и экологические проблемы (не только в развивающихся, но и в развитых странах). Понимание этих проблем в Индонезии привело к тому, что в Университете Удаяна в 2014 году было решено создать международный Центр по подготовке специалистов по очистке сточных вод с участием специалистов из МГУ им. М.В.Ломоносова. Была определена технология, наиболее адаптированная к тропическим сельскохозяйственным регионам: очистка воды с использованием фито-очистных систем (Constructed Wetlands, Treatment Wetlands), единичные примеры таких сооружений построены в Таиланде, Вьетнаме, Сингапуре. Теоретическая база для подобных систем разрабатывалась в России еще с конца 19-начала 20 вв. (В.Р.Вильямс, В.И.Вернадский, А.И.Перельман), специалисты из МГУ им. М.В.Ломоносова всегда были востребованными лекторами по данным тематикам в Университете Удаяна. Объектами исследования двух университетов были единичные фито-очистные системы острова Бали [Budiasa et al, 2018]. Однако с первых же шагов стало ясно, что для создания образовательного центра отсутствует методологическая база, так как образовательные программы в разных странах различаются. Данная проблема была обсуждена на ряде семинаров, которые состоялись в рамках Меморандума о сотрудничестве между факультетом почвоведения МГУ и сельскохозяйственным факультетом Университетом Удаяна в 2015-2017 годах.

Результаты этапа: The program for 2020 is fully implemented. The following events were carried out: 1) 7-17 February, 2020 (Denpasar, Indonesia, Udayana University), first workshop “Development of the concept and selection of objects for filming”. This was a kick-off meeting to outline the actions for the project implementation. The questions have been discussed during the workshop: 1. Identification of sites suitable for filming in: Indonesia – Sumbawa and Bali Islands, Thailand – Petchburi province (treatment wetland), Vietnam - Hoa Binh province, Phu Tho province (pulp and paper WWTP), Lao Cai province. The initial visit and search of the objects proposed for filming in Indonesia was carried out. The participants presented the potential areas in their countries that are mostly convenient to the purpose of the filming. They discussed the schedule of filming, necessary formalities and requirements for doing this in every country. 2. Discussion of a draft version of a shooting script. A shooting script has 8 episodes. The draft script of 8 episodes of the educational course were presented and discussed. All comments and additions to the draft version have been included in the final version. 3. Coordination draft version of manuals with the educational programs of the participating universities. The draft version of manuals is prepared and was discussed, especially its correlation with the curricula of participating universities. All comments and additions will be included in the final version. 4. Drawing up a calendar of preliminary trips and reconnaissance filming. The participants considered the time options for filming in dependence of conditions in every country. 5. Logistics for each object for the crew (transport, hotels, organizational support etc.). Needed logistics in every country were discussed and were indicated for further arrangements. 6. Also there was formed the Coordination Council between MSU and UNUD that is responsible for all administrative and organizational issues for implementation of the project. The coordinators ensure the accumulation and storage of all information on the project, organize workshops, compile all reports, including the completion report, and submit them to the ASEAN supervising body. Результаты этапа: Разработана целостная Программа по использованию новейших технологий в управлении водными ресурсами сельскохозяйственных регионов для студентов и специалистов стран АСЕАН. Создан цикл восьми учебных фильмов под руководством группы экспертов и методическое руководство к ним с привлечением профессиональной кино-компании, специализирующейся на учебных фильмах. Результаты этапа: The Interim Reports of program for 2020 and 2021 were sent to ASEAN Secretariat in due course. The program for 2022 has been implemented completely. The following activities were carried out: It should be noted that due to the situation in the world associated with Covid restrictions, the project period was extended until the end of 2022 (Annex A.2_1. Revised Indicative Workplan, Annex A.2_2_Contract term extension). However, by the efforts of the project team, all planned outputs were completed. The educational film (8 episodes) was completed and access to it is open for watching by the link: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLz4veBX2w_xjvft5P2ck4zmYiEWoqfji The educational film manuals (English and Russian) were prepared and printed (Annex A.2_3. Manuals (in electronic format). To complete the project, the final workshop was held in Bali (April 2022), where the educational film and the training program were presented (Annex A.2_4. Workshop Schedule). The workshop was attended by more than 30 participants from 5 ASEAN and Russian universities (Annex A.2_5. List of participants). Due to restrictions in the last couple of years due to Covid-19, it was decided to organize a combined workshop on 3 joint projects (this project and “Design and Development of ASEAN–Russia Interactive Communication Network for the Exchange of Innovative Technologies on Sustainable Agricultural Development” (AGF/ARD/19/006/REG), “Adaptation and Implementation of the Modern Molecular Biology Technologies in the Practice of Agricultural and Wastewater Treatment of ASEAN Countries” (AGF/ARD/19/007/REG), since many participants were involved in all projects. The workshop was also attended by students who showed themselves most actively in the work on the above joint ASEAN projects (to practice teaching methods through interactive educational films for students from different ASEAN countries, also as an encouragement and practical opportunity to develop communication skills). From the officials a representative of ASEAN body involved in promoting of natural friendly technologies (Biodiversity Information Management Unit ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity), representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of Vietnam, representatives of Denpasar City Hall and the province of Bali took part in the workshop. During the workshop educational films were shown to the participants and methodological work was carried out with teachers and students about using of the film and the methodological manual in the course of the educational process (Annex A. 2_6. Photos from the workshop). These methods of analysis are presented in the educational film and are part of the educational program. A small scientific round table was also held, where three reports were presented: A. Astaykina “Effects of three pesticides on the earthworm Lumbricus terrestris gut microbiota”, N.Shchegolkova “Methodological features of project-oriented learning in the format of video films”, S. Kharitonov “Technique for the detection of pathogenic microorganisms in various environments based on the PCR”. On the last day of the workshop, a survey of all participants (teachers and students) was conducted to analyze this program and collect information on the further development of this educational program (Annex A.2_ 7. Feedback Questionnaire). All participants highly appreciated the proposed training course and noted that this format helps to assimilate the material, given that each section of the course can be viewed separately and return to the theory by completing tasks on the topic under study. The participants also supported the idea of a follow-up the training course with the deepening and detailing of all stages of creating various types of biological Waste Water Treatment facilities. The program was also reviewed and recommended by A.L. Stepanov, Professor, Doctor of Biology, Head of the Department of Soil Biology, Faculty of Soil Science, Lomonosov Moscow State University and E.V. Venitsianov, Head of the Water Protection Laboratory of the Institute of Water Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, also recommended by the Educational and Methodological Board, Faculty of Soil Science, Lomonosov Moscow State University (Annex A.2_8. Reviews). After the workshop, universities interested in applying the program sent official letters requesting study materials (an electronic version of the manual and access to the film) (Annex A.2_9.
