Аннотация:The question of whether it is possible in principle to describe quantum-mechanical motion on the basis of the mathematical formalism underlying the theory of real stochastic processes is considered. Relevant equations are obtained for the simplest case of a two-level system undergoing transitions induced by electromagnetic radiation. It is shown that quantum-mechanical processes an purely discrete Gaussian processes of a non-Markov type. In the space of probability amplitudes, they are continuous processes possessing the property of being quantum Markov processes. A formulation of quantum mechanics in terms of the theory of stochastic processes is necessary for generalizing it to small spacetime intervals.
