Аннотация:Hydriding and nitriding lead to opposite changes in the magnetocrystalline anisotropy (MCA) in R2Fe17Hx and R2Fe17Nx. The direction of change in the MCA in the different compounds agrees with the sign of the Stevens coefficient characterizing the 4f-subshell structure of rare-earth (RE) ions. The reversal of magnetostriction observed on hydriding and nitriding indicates that the interstitial atoms have a significant influence on the magnetoelastic interaction of iron atoms with the anisotropic 4f electron shell of RE ions.
