Аннотация:Similar to Sanskrit, Modern NIA demonstrate role-oriented controlling properties of NPs, but the amount of semantic roles able to control reflexivization has increased in it.
In Modern NIA control over absolutives is implemented by Agent, Experiencer, Possessor and more seldom - by Patient (Surface Subject). As for reflexivization, not only the NPs with ergative case marker, but also NPs marked by the dative-accusative and locative postpositions and even by the postpositions of purpose etc. may function as controllers of reflexivisation, provided they imply the semantic roles of Agent, Experiencer, Recipient, Possessor and rarely - the one of Patient.
