Аннотация:Data is obtained on the change in the electrical conductivity of thin-film Fe electrodes during their oxidation and reduction in water-dimethylformaldehyde solutions of a borate buffer. This data is compared with data from electrochemical and ellipsometric studies conducted under the same conditions. The results indicate that the oxide layers formed on the passive Fe electrode in water-formaldehyde and water solutions are of the same composition. The thickness of the oxide decreases with an increase in the fraction of the organic component present. The data obtained from resistance measurements is analyzed and a quantitative link is established between it and the results of galvanostatic and ellipsometric studies.
