Аннотация:The reaction of title pentafluorohalobenzenes with various transition metal
carbonylate complexes, e.g. Fe(Cp)(CO)2K, Mn(CO)5K or Rh(CO)5Na, is
studied. It is shown, that all reactions proceed with a halogen→metal exchange
reaction via a pentafluorophenyl anion as key step. The reaction mechanism
is confirmed by anion and radical trap experiments. Besides the substitution
products various products of redox reactions are obtained in minor amounts.
The reaction of Mn(CO)5K (or Rh(CO)5Na) with pentafluorohalobenzenes
generates anionic haloacyl complexes, which is a further proof of the halophilic
mechanism
