Аннотация:An asymptotic analysis is performed on the system of momentum equations that follows from the Van Chang-Uhlenbeck kinetic equation for a polyatomic gas in the approximation of a weak nonequilibrium jet. Analytic dependences of the limiting parallel, perpendicular, and rotational temperatures are obtained on source conditions and on the rotational number of collisions Z, which characterizes the inelastic collision of molecules. Comparison between calculated and experimental results allows the determination of Z values at low temperatures for particular polyatomic gases.
