Аннотация:12 healthy volunteers were exposed to the 6-hours or 3-days Dry Immersion (DI). Back muscles tone was registered by resonance vibrography method using parameters of transverse stiffness of the muscles under study. The measurements in 3-days DI were performed twice before DI, daily in the course of DI and twice after its accomplishment; in the short term 6-hours DI testing were carried out twice before DI, in 1 and 4 hours after the beginning of DI and during the first hour after DI accomplishment. It is shown that exposure to supportlessness is followed by sharp decrease of back extensor muscles, which has the maximal values during the first hours and days of DI. The possible role of back muscles atonia in development of well known phenomenon of spine length increase and back pain appearance observed at the beginning of space flights and after landing as well as under the conditions of simulated microgravity (DI and Bedrest) is discussed. Keywords: Dry immersion, back muscles tone, transverse stiffness, back pain, support unloading.
