- Аннотация: Attempts to develop a various kind of a net zoning of the Russian territory have been taken repeatedly by many experts of physical-geographical, economic-geographical and economic disciplines. Classification of the territories differing areas, population, level of economic and industrial development and features of natural-landscape differentiation is represented as rather a complex problem in the methodological attitude. The territorial entities forming the administrative-territorial structure of Russia and can be grouped to the most essential attributes forming basis for a net zoning. At the same time the analysis of set of these attributes allows to group and display administrative and territorial entities as the new formations containing these attributes.From the position of mapping design, territorial entities can be regarded as a combination of grouped areas connected to any leading attributes. For example, the administrative districts of Russia can be grouped into the economic micro-districts (EM).
