Аннотация:The reaction between chiral smectic liquid crystal CHS1 (a mixture of achiral molecules of alkyl esters of 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-5-hydroxypyrimidines (LC1, LC2, LC3) and a non-mesogenic chiral component) is studied via the molecular dynamics modeling of p-bis[4-(hex-2-yl-hydroxycarbonyl)phenyl]benzene (LC4)) upon hydrostatic compression. The coefficients of volumetric isothermal compressibility and linear isothermal compressibility of this phase are calculated. It is found that at pressures below 50 MPa, the considered phase redistributes compression in the direction of the axis of orientation (Ox) in the perpendicular direction (Oz), due to deviation of the mesogens of the components. At pressures above 50 MPa, the CHS1 phase is compressed uniformly in all directions, with an increase in the ordering of the system.
