Аннотация:The state of art in the field of chemical engineering of high-temperature superconductors is discussed from the point of view of their structural complexity, microstructure and thermodynamic properties. The problems of production of advanced large-grain melt-solidified superconducting ceramics and thick films mostly result from highly anisotropic physical properties, small coherent length, the necessity of artificial pinning center creation and chemical complexity of the materials. The progress in this field is sustained due to better understanding of general preparation principles followed by developing new experimental techniques with precise control of micro-, meso-, nano- and local structures of these cation and anion non-stoichiometric compounds.
