- Аннотация: The paper deals with the differentiation of the Russian intelligentsia. This fact is explained by the transformation of urban culture into an arena of contradictions between various microsocial institutions. This socio-cultural group now negates old cultural symbols in such a way that they lose their specific social status among the other urban populations.
