Аннотация:Comparison of self-awareness research in the field of personality psychology in Chinese and Russian scienceAbstract: the article examines the features of research on self-consciousness in the field of personality psychology in Chinese and Russian science. The comparative analysis of the research literature made it possible to determine the main similarities and differences in the study of self-consciousness in the field of personality psychology in Chinese and Russian science. The authors come to the conclusion that Chinese and Russian scientists are interested in the interaction between the various components of self-consciousness and how they influence the formation of personality. Researchers from both countries pay attention to the issue of the exchange of characteristics between people and how this affects the formation and change of self-consciousness. Self-consciousness performs a number of functions, such as self-control, regulation of behavior, assessment of one's capabilities and place in society, as well as adaptation to social changes. The exchange of characteristics, as a way of interaction between people, is also seen as an important aspect of self-awareness in both cultures. Chinese scholars may pay more attention to the influence of cultural factors on self-consciousness, while Russian researchers may emphasize the internal processes of self-consciousness formation more. Russian scientists may also focus on psychological disturbances of self-consciousness, such as personality dissociation, while in China this may receive less scientific interest. Keywords: self-awareness, personality psychology, personality theory
