Аннотация:International transport corridors (ITCs) as a part of global transport system create the conditions for effective international trade. The countries of the 21st century geostrategic triangle: the USA, the EU countries, the Asia-Pacific Region (including China), and Russia generate basic commodity flows. One of the determinative international transport corridors in the East-West trade directions is the ITC-2, with the Trans-Siberian Railway as its basis. The integration of the Trans-Siberian and Trans-Korean Railways stipulates efficient foreign trade of Southeast Asia and Europe, primarily the Republic of Korea with the EU countries, as well as with Russia, and the development of favorable conditions for the DPRK's economic development. The analysis of the foreign trade turnover of the participants in the economic cooperation shows positive dynamics and high potential of foreign trade. The globalization processes of the modern world economy focus on, as a strategic objective, the creation and development of digital economy, which is the key element of the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0). The experience of developing digital economy in the Republic of Korea and its leading position, as well as the practical application and development of the main technological processes of Russian Railways create strong prerequisites for the integration of the Trans-Siberian and Trans-Korean Railways in a digital format, which will greatly speed up the solution of conflicting problems and elimination of constraints in its implementation. Combining the efforts of research institutes of the Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation will allow to work out the economic efficiency of the project as well as the substantiation for organizing a consortium of the countries of the West and East, interested in creating a highly effective international corridor.
