Аннотация:A high-quality dataset of orthologous genes representing the diversity of Metazoa is a prerequisite to obtaining a reliable metazoan (animal) phylogeny. While the construction of deep metazoan phylogeny is highly desired to accommodate the basic traits of animal organization into a reliable phylogenetic framework, many parts of the metazoan tree remain unclear due to the lack of reliable orthologous genes among phyla. In order to find genes suitable for inference of deep metazoan phylogeny, we constructed a pipeline of conventional and original bioinformatic methods and used it to mine a variety of resources containing annotated genomes and unannotated proteomes of a range of metazoan phyla. The current list contains 51 gene families from over 30 animal species belonging to 11 phyla (Ctenophora, Cnidaria, Priapulida, Tardigrada, Plathelminthes, Nematoda, Arthropoda, Annelida, Mollusca, Echinodermata, and Chordata).
