Аннотация:Present the 2nd edition of the International Anatomical Terminology «Terminologia Anatomica», 2019 (TA2), and describe its Russian equivalent. Material and methods. The national standard for international anatomical nomenclature was developed by the Russian National Anatomical Committee of the SMSAHE (RANK) with the broad support from SMSAHE members. After receiving approval from the Federative International Programme for Anatomical Terminology (FIPAT), the RANK started preparation of the Russian equiv-alent of the 2nd edition of the International Anatomical Terminology 2019 (TA2). In its work, the RANK strictly followed the official list of 7,113 Latin terms included in TA2, as well as the endnotes of FIPAT. The RANK members considered it useful to add three more columns to the TA2’s existing seven columns, thus the Russian-lan-guage version was formed on the basis of 10 columns. When working with the nomenclature, the RANK tried as much as possible to preserve the terms, their placement, interpretation, based on the original version, and make changes only in some cases of his-torically different interpretations of concepts in Russia and abroad. Results. The features of the Russian-language version of TA2 and the stages of work of the RANK on the creation of a national standard for a new international anatomical nomenclature are described in the paper. Development of the Russian-language equiva-lent of TA2 demonstrated its continuity with the earlier editions of the international anatomical terminology, such as BNA, PNA, Terminologia Anatomica 1998 (TA1). Conclusion. The new national standard for international anatomical terminology created by RANK based on TA2 was intended to promote the integration of Russian morphology into the world academic and scientific society and help Russian-speaking mor-phologists and clinicians to better navigate the modern anatomical nomenclature.
